Lorraine Yip | Director

Lorraine Yip is an architect and Spatial Intelligence strategist specialising in the alignment of architecture, interiors and environmental energy to create high-performing environments that support wellbeing and long-term value.

With more than 25 years of international experience, Lorraine has led complex and award-winning projects across APAC, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Her work is grounded in the belief that architecture is never neutral. The way environments are oriented, structured and experienced directly influences behaviour, decision-making, wellbeing and performance.

Lorraine works with developers, organisations and private clients to align architecture, interiors and spatial energy so the environments they create actively support leadership, human wellbeing and long-term asset value. Her approach integrates architecture, interior design, sustainability and Master-level Feng Shui through a single design lens, ensuring critical spatial decisions around orientation, hierarchy, circulation and zoning are considered early in the project.

Lorraine describes this philosophy as Spatial Intelligence, applied through the Spatial Intelligence Alignment Framework (SIAF) to help environments perform effectively over time.

Her portfolio spans mixed-use developments, transport infrastructure, commercial workplaces, hospitality, education and civic projects across a wide range of scales and complexities. Her work has received numerous industry recognitions including the Best-in-Class New Hotel Award (Tatler Best Philippines), World’s Most Beautiful Emporiums (Prix Versailles), MUSE Design Award, Master Builders Award and honours from the Australian Institute of Architects, UDIA, and the World Architecture Festival.

Through her work at yipdeakin, Lorraine continues to advance a design approach where architecture does more than accommodate activity. It actively shapes how people, organisations and environments perform and thrive.
